Kyrie Irving may be the most unpredictable player in what’s become a wildly unpredictable league. Any headline with his name in it should not come as a surprise to NBA fans this summer.

If that headline reads that the Nets traded him, it will anyway. That’s not a decision most observers are expecting this organization to make. We’d call it unlikely, but we’d never call it impossible.

The Nets could have grown tired of Irving’s constantly fluctuating availability. This season, he missed ample time because he refused to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

However you feel about vaccinations, that doesn’t engender confidence in a professional basketball organization.

None of these trades are likely. That’s why crazy is right there in the name of the article. Still, we wouldn’t make any assumptions about what may or may not happen regarding Kyrie Irving.

If he’s taught us anything, it would be to avoid doing that. If the Nets do move on from the controversial point guard this summer, here are three ways they could do it.

Washington Wizards Receive: G Kyrie Irving

Brooklyn Nets Receive: C Kristaps Porzingis

We almost sent a first-round pick the Brooklyn Nets’ way in this swap. In a vacuum, they’re parting with the best player in this deal.
