The Sharks have recalled defenseman Taylor Doherty from their American Hockey League affiliate in Worcester, CSNCalifornia.com has learned. The 22-year-old Ontario native is a six-foot-seven, 235-pound stay-at-home type rearguard, with three goals and five assists for eight points and 85 penalty minutes in 37 games with Worcester this season. He has yet to make his NHL debut. A second round pick of the Sharks in 2009, Doherty, a right-handed shot, was one of the last players reassigned to the minors in training camp in September.
