Rashaan Salaam's 1994 Heisman Trophy has fetched a record price. The former Colorado running back had sold his award two years prior to his death in December 2016, but it sold again Saturday for a record $399,608, according to SCP Auctions. The online auction opened bidding on Jan. 8 and closed this weekend, with a portion of the proceeds from the sale set to be donated to chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) research in Salaam's memory. Salaam became the fourth player in college football history to run for over 2,000 rushing yards.
