Notre Dame wide receiver Will Mahone was arrested on five offenses Sunday in his home state of Ohio. Mahone, a junior who converted from running back to slot receiver in the spring, was booked at the Mahoning County Justice Center for disorderly conduct, assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, intimidation of a public servant and vandalism of a government entity. Three of the charges are felonies: Assault on a police officer, a first degree felony; intimidation of a public servant, a third degree felony; and vandalism of a government entity, a fifth degree felony. Mahone's hometown of Austintown is located in Mahoning County and is a suburb of Youngstown, where Mahone was booked.
