Philadelphia 76ers assistant Monty Williams has reportedly emerged as a top candidate for the Los Angeles Lakers' head coaching vacancy, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Lakers management will travel east to meet with Williams between Games 2 and 3 of the Brooklyn Nets-76ers playoff series, Wojnarowski adds.

Williams was previously reported to be an option to replace Luke Walton, along with former Cleveland Cavaliers coach Tyronn Lue.
