Duke, Kentucky, Arizona, Texas and Michigan State aren't strangers to the neighborhood of five-star recruits. However, one school in particular sticks out in 2017 recruiting class rankings: Western Kentucky. The Hilltoppers landed top-10 recruit Mitchell Robinson, a 7-foot center, but there was speculation that his future at the school could be in jeopardy after the reported resignation of Western Kentucky assistant coach Shammond Williams, according to ESPN's Jeff Goodman. However, Robinson's mother told ESPN that her son still plans on attending Western Kentucky. Goodman previously reported Robinson's options included playing overseas for a season (as Terrance Ferguson, Emmanuel Mudiay and Brandon Jennings have previously, for various reasons), attempting to get released from his National Letter of Intent and committing to another school, or sticking with Western Kentucky.
