rendan Rodgers has laughed off the suggestion Liverpool are ready to make a move for Mario Balotelli, writes David McDonnell in Miami. Rodgers was linked with a £25million move for the 23-year-old AC Milan and Italy star after praising him during Liverpool's US tour. But the Anfield boss dismissed any suggestion he was in for the maverick former Manchester City striker, despite losing Luis Suarez to Barcelona this summer. “I was asked the question about Balotelli and spoke about what a talent he is and excellent player he is," said Rodgers. “I can categorically tell you that he will not be at Liverpool. “He is a wonderful player, but an AC Milan player. I just gave my opinion of him, but that doesn’t mean I will be signing him." Liverpool take on old foes Manchester United in the final of the International Champions Cup in Miami's Sun Life Stadium on Monday night.
