Legend Kobe Bryant broke down the Lakers’ failed attempt to pry Pelicans stud Anthony Davis at the trade deadline in February, sayings the Lakers’ young trio — Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma and Lonzo Ball — wasn’t a steep price to pay at all.

It sounds like Bryant thought the Lakers were getting a steal for that price.

“Kuzma, Lonzo, Ingram … are the three of them better than Anthony Davis? No! Ciao! Bye!,” Bryant told Spanish outlet AS, transcribed via Reddit. “Anthony Davis is one of the best players in the world. Not currently, in history. What are we talking about? If you can trade for Anthony Davis, you do it. If not, all right …

“We have three players who are very young and work hard. They’re smart and they have to develop. But if you can trade for Anthony Davis … yes!”

Bryant is echoing what many thought, though his position in Lakers lore adds weight to his opinion.
