Kalvin Phillips is signing a new contract with Leeds United in a huge boost for Marcelo Bielsa’s promotion chasers.

Philips has agreed terms on an improved five-year deal with his hometown club and Leeds are expected to confirm the news in the next few days.

The defensive midfielder was a target for a number of Premier League clubs over the summer, with Aston Villa and Burnley both having bids rejected for the 23 year-old.
