The San Francisco Giants are reportedly calling up outfielder Mike Yastrzemski, grandson of Hall of Famer Carl Yastrzemski.
The 28-year-old has been in the minor leagues for seven seasons and has never appeared in a major league game.
MLB Network's Jon Heyman first reported Yastrzemski's pending promotion on Saturday. There was no immediate confirmation from the team.
Yastrzemski is batting .316 with 12 homers, 25 RBIs and 38 runs in 40 games this season at Triple-A Sacramento.
