Reigning National League MVP Christian Yelich returned to the Brewers' lineup on Tuesday, batting third and playing right field for the opener of a two-game set against the Twins at Miller Park.

Yelich missed five games due to a back injury, but he pinch-hit Sunday. Logging his first plate appearance since Aug. 5, Yelich struck out swinging in a six-pitch at-bat against Rangers left-hander Mike Minor with the tying run on second base in the bottom of the eighth inning.
