On the final possession of the Sixers' 101-99 win over the Portland Trail Blazers (see story), Michael Carter-Williams took an elbow to his head. Carter-Williams laid on the ground, face down, for quite some time even though time had expired and the Sixers had won their fourth consecutive game. Eventually MCW made his way to the Sixers' locker room and underwent a series of concussion tests before he sat at his locker getting ready for the cross-country flight home that was on tap. “I just got an elbow to the head but I’ll be alright,” Carter-Williams said. He scored 16 points, had nine rebounds and handed out four assists, helping his team improve to 12-22 on the season.
