This season's been a roller coaster for Brandon Pirri. He made the Blackhawks' roster out of training camp and later found himself sent down, recalled, sent down again, recalled again and scratched. The Blackhawks most recently sent him back to Rockford when they traded for Pierre-Marc Bouchard and Peter Regin just before the Olympic break. With the addition of Regin filling the Blackhawks' second-line center need, Pirri's future with the defending champions becomes more unclear. In a recent interview with ESPN's Scott Powers, the 22-year-old forward talked about his latest trip back to Rockford and trade rumors that are surrounding his name leading up to the March 5 trade deadline. "I don't know how to feel," Pirri told Powers after Friday's skate. "It's the first time I've been involved in something like this where there have been rumors flying around. But at the same time, I'm not worrying about it. Just come down and help this team win. "It's out of my control. It's up to the management in Chicago to do what they feel is right. I'm just looking for that opportunity wherever it may be."
