This meeting is the first of the season and with the Lakers having played last night - a loss to Brooklyn - the oddsmakers have tabbed them as 1.5 point underdogs.
The positive for the Lakers is that they will have a rested LeBron James and (possibly) Anthony Davis in the lineup as the two sat out yesterday's game with “rest”.
The Knicks come into this contest with extended rest having last played in Brooklyn on January 28th. They’ve not played well of late having lost 5 of their last 7 and defensively they’ve been in shambles giving up an average of 120 points per contest.
If the Lakers can get a collective effort from their key pieces tonight, there should be no reason they walk away from MSG with a loss.
