Jarrett Jack is a perfectly serviceable NBA player, not a starter on a decent team but a guy that can eat up some minutes and hit open looks. We learned yesterday that his range is limited if it’s anything over 75 feet look out if you're in the crowd near the basket.

The New York Knicks guard had a hilarious field goal attempt on Monday night with time expiring in the first half of the Knicks’ preseason matchup with the Houston Rockets, missing the basket on a full-court shot by about two dozen rows of seats.

Jack’s shot was pure comedy, a memorable moment people will actually talk about from a preseason game where nothing that happens matters, an interesting addition to the legacy.

Scott Van Pelt’s late-night SportsCenter pointed out, this isn’t his first lowlight attempt at a buzz beater.

Don’t let anyone stop you from heaving up buzz beaters the odds are in your favor (broken clock theory) and there is lots of room for improvement. For what it’s worth, he could have a future as a beer league quarterback throwing bombs.

To his credit, when he’s a couple feet closer to the basket at the buzzer good things happen.
