In 2010 when Isaiah Thomas was the starting point guard for the Washington Huskies, he fired off a tweet about LeBron James, that he might regret today now that they’re teammates.
After the trade went down some Twitter detectives uncovered old Tweets of Isaiah Thomas ripping his new teammate LeBron James.
The tweet compares his new Cavaliers teammate King James unfavorably to Kobe Bryant, came on May 13, 2010. For those of you who don’t possess an encyclopedic knowledge of NBA dates, that’s the day the Boston Celtics eliminated LeBron and the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals, a loss that ultimately prompted LeBron to take his talents to South Beach.
I suspect LeBron doesn’t care at all about this, three NBA titles and seven straight finals appearances later. However, it is fun to see the reaction on social media. Twitter certainly enjoyed trolling Thomas over his comments.

Of course, Thomas wasn’t just throwing shade at LeBron, there was some love in there as well.
And again, these came out when the new Cavaliers point guard was playing college hoops and not part of the NBA brotherhood. After he made it to the pros his opinion of the King changed.
I respect @KingJames so much more now playin against him! Best OVERALL talent n the league. U aint gotta block my shot like that tho lol— Isaiah Thomas (@Isaiah_Thomas) February 22, 2012
