On Friday night during the exhibition Freeway Series between the Los Angeles Angels and Los Angeles Dodgers there was a tremor in the stadium. The next time I'm caught in a natural disaster...I want Vin Scully on the mic.

It wasn't a large tremor at Chavez Ravine, but the 5.1-magnitude quake probably rattled some nerves and some fine china in the Brea area of Orange County where it was centered.

The tremor occurs at the beginning of the video, and it seems as though Scully is the only person in the stadium who even knew it happened.

I could listen to Vin Scully talk about anything. I love spending warm summer nights sitting around a camp-fire listening to Dodgers games during the late night hours. I'm the furthest thing from a Dodgers fan...but Vin Scully IS baseball.

He certainly handled himself better than these TV personalities did during the previous Los Angeles rattler on St. Patrick's Day:

I knew I would find a way to post this video on a sports blog. haha.
