The Cleveland Browns are 0-5 for the second straight season and have already made a change at quarterback. Rookie DeShone Kizer is heading to the bench and second-year pro-Kevin Hogan will start this week in Houston against the Texans.

It doesn’t even seem like they are trying to win these days, improve maybe but not necessarily win games. From the outside they appear to be tanking to acquire higher draft picks in the NFL’s version of the Houston Astros or Philadelphia 76ers tanking system.

Keep in mind the Browns have only one win since December 14, 2015 - Johnny Manziel was the quarterback then. Since they have had seven different starting quarterbacks. Hell, since 1999 Hogan will be the 28th different starter at the most important position in professional sports.

Kiser who wasn’t even exceptional as a college quarterback was set up to fail in Cleveland and he certainly delivered.

In the aftermath of Kizer's benching, former NFL receiver Nate Washington came to the young QB's defense on Twitter and ridiculed the Browns organization while telling Kizer to keep his head up.

Washington set Kizer up to fail here. I suspect Kizer was just liking a tweet from a respected vet telling him to keep his head up. At the same time, he was liking a tweet slandering his employer.

Maybe in the future use the DM’s? Might have been a better way to handle this type of interaction in the future.

Kiser has since unliked the tweet.

FYI, the Browns are the worst organization in North American sports and not just the NFL. If I’m missing a franchise feel free to let me know in the comments.
