A few weeks back, Barstool Sports founder and New England Patriots super fan Dave Portnoy announced he was buying 30,000 Roger Goodell clown face towels to hand out at Foxboro prior to the New England Patriots game that kicks off the NFL season.
Now, Portnoy doubled down on the move and are now going to hand out 70,000 towels that will be double-sided. All because he wants every fan in attendance to have a towel in their hands to welcome Deflategate CEO Roger Goodell to Foxboro.
I'll let Portnoy explains his reasons for now ordering 70,000 towels.
Gillette Stadium's capacity is 66,829 which means that Barstool will have plenty of towels and advertising space to give away so that the entire stadium is filled with the logo.
