Quarterback Trent Edwards was at practice Wednesday, though he only did limited individual reps as he continues to recover from the concussion he suffered against the New York Jets. "I'm good, it's good to be back," Edwards said. "I wasn't here last week and it was kind of lonely at the house, but now I'm feeling better each day and I'm glad to be back." Edwards said his post-concussion headaches have "slowly but surely" started to go away, and that he's not worried. "It's the same as any other injury for me, really," said Edwards, who also suffered a concussion last year at Arizona. "It's an injury and once you get past it there's not any looking back. Any time you look back that's not ..."

Trent Edwards was absent Wednesday from Bills practice, and the strange thing is that it seems he was hardly missed. Buffalo's struggling starting quarterback was told to stay home and rest as part of the team's protocol for treating concussions, so Edwards was not involved in meetings, workouts or any part of practice. In fact, he's not even allowed to talk on the phone or text. In his stead, Ryan Fitzpatrick ran the first-team offense in practice, and afterward, comments made by several players indicated that it really wouldn't matter to them who starts Sunday when the Bills travel to Carolina to take on the Panthers. "I wouldn't really say there's any difference from my standpoint," ..."

Quarterback Trent Edwards was not in attendance at practice today, advancing speculation that he will not play Sunday when the Buffalo Bills face the Carolina Panthers in Charlotte, N.C. Edwards suffered a concussion - his second in little more than a year - in last week's game against the New York Jets. Ryan Fitzpatrick came off the bench and engineered a 16-13 overtime win that snapped Buffalo's three-game losing streak. Fitzpatrick, 26, would start against the Panthers and was taking the bulk of today's practice repetitions with normal No. 3 QB Gibran Hamdan backing him up. Edwards was scheduled for further testing."

The status of Bills quarterback Trent Edwards remained status quo on Monday, meaning his condition will not be updated publicly until at least Wednesday. Coach Dick Jauron said Edwards was able to fly back from New York with the team Sunday night, but he had no more details on the concussion Edwards suffered in the second quarter of Buffalo's 16-13 victory over the Jets. "We'll take that day to day and see how he comes out of this thing," Jauron said. Edwards was replaced by backup Ryan Fitzpatrick, who helped lead Buffalo back from a 13-3 halftime deficit. Fitzpatrick completed only 10 of 25 passes for 116 yards on a windy day at the Meadowlands, but one was a perfectly thrown slant to ..."

"
All around him in a silent, heartbroken locker room, Trent Edwards' teammates were shedding their equipment and traipsing into the shower to wash away the stench of a truly horrific loss to the New England Patriots Monday night. Edwards couldn't bring himself to do it. He sat there on the stool in front of his stall, still fully padded sans his helmet, and just stared blankly at nothing, as if he was trying to conjure up a scenario in his mind that would alter the result of Buffalo's 25-24 defeat at Gillette Stadium. Finally, after some of the Bills had already headed for the buses that would transport them to the Providence airport for the short but miserable flight home, Edwards removed ..."

If anyone in Bills Nation saw that victorious performance coming from Buffalo on Sunday in Denver, pat yourself on the back, because you most certainly were in the minority. There were so many reasons to believe that the Bills - with nothing to play for in terms of the playoff race - were going to fly out West and merely go through the motions, especially on a day that only an ice fisherman could appreciate. And after 15 minutes, those fears were fully realized as the Bills couldn't have looked worse, or been more outplayed in falling behind 10-0. But those of you who didn't flick the TV off to get back to more productive duties such as wrapping Christmas presents or shoveling the driveway ..."

Trent Edwards was back on the practice field this afternoon and coach Dick Jauron believes he will be available to start Sunday's game in Denver against the Broncos. "Today was his first day back, he moved pretty well,'' said Jauron. "We were out on the field a little yesterday and he moved fairly well. He says he feels good and we'll just see how it progresses through the week. I thought he handled things fairly well today.'' Jauron said that if Edwards does start for the first time since the San Francisco game, Gibran Hamdan will be his backup, not J.P. Losman. "We're hopeful that Trent will be the guy and that's as far as it would go, but if it got to the two, we'd put Gibran on the ..."

Trent Edwards did not participate in practice this afternoon as the Bills began preparing for their game in New York against the Jets, and J.P. Losman took all of the first-team reps. "He is still sore," coach Dick Jauron said of Edwards. "He worked some on the side with the trainers, he had a little more movement than last week, but he's still sore.'' If Edwards doesn't get back to work tomorrow, and that seems unlikely, Losman will start his second game in a row when the Bills try to derail their AFC East rival's playoff hopes. "You want your starting quarterback out there getting their reps, particularly if he's not a veteran player," Jauron said. "Sometimes a guy who has played a long ..."

Trent Edwards did not participate in practice this afternoon inside the Bills' fieldhouse and backup J.P. Losman took all of the reps. If Edwards is still sidelined by the groin injury he suffered Sunday against San Francisco when practice resumes Thursday, it seems likely that Losman will get the start when the Bills play host to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday at the Rogers Centre in Toronto. "He was pretty sore, but it's better than it was after the game, better than it was yesterday, so I would say there was progress," coach Dick Jauron said of Edwards' injury. "We'll go day to day and it will probably go right up to the game." However, if Edwards is unable to practice Thursday, Losman ..."

There wasn't a whole lot of activity in the Buffalo Bills locker room on Monday. During the 45-minute period when reporters are allowed to be in there, a few players milled about, but the vast majority of the team was nowhere to be found, and it was quite understandable. After all, what was there to talk about on the heels of such a desultory performance as the one the Bills turned in during their 10-3 loss to San Francisco on Sunday? This is a franchise that has made a habit of losing critical games in inexplicable ways, and the sorry effort that was put forth against a weak 49ers team that had far less to play for than the Bills was simply inexcusable. So almost every starter - with the ..."
