Boldin looking forward to playing Steelers
"Even before he has put on a Ravens uniform, wide receiver Anquan Boldin already shares the same feelings as his new teammates and fans -- a dislike for the Pittsburgh Steelers. "I'm seeking a little revenge on Pittsburgh", Boldin said. "They beat us in the Super Bowl, so I'm looking forward to that matchup.""
Boldin has 'mixed emotions' about leaving Arizona Cardinals
"Anquan Boldin once pleaded to leave the Cardinals organization, all but scratching marks on the walls of the team's practice facility to count the days spent in purgatory. On Saturday, however, a day after he was traded to the Ravens, Boldin said he had "mixed emotions" about leaving the team and the area after seven years. "I built a lot of relationships here," said Boldin, the Cardinals' all-time leading receiver. "Professionally, it's the only place I know. It's going to be tough to say goodbye but I'm also looking forward to the future, definitely excited about playing for the Ravens. I feel like I add a piece to their offense." Oddly enough, Boldin spent part of Saturday at the ..."
Boldin signing sends message to Mason
"With the trade and signing of Arizona Pro Bowl receiver Anquan Boldin, the Ravens are leaking word around the league that veteran receiver Derrick Mason is no longer a priority. The Ravens still might sign Mason, but they are in no hurry. In fact, he fits general manager Ozzie Newsome's favorite saying: "Right player, right price." The Ravens might not try to sign him until after the draft. The Ravens might be leaking word out because they are simply tired of Mason saying he might retire, and then he might not. Or that he might want to play for another team or would prefer to stay with the Ravens, but wants a two-year contract."
Cardinals export Anquan Boldin to Ravens for draft picks
"WR Anquan Boldin is now a bird of a different feather. The Cardinals traded Boldin, a Pro Bowler who's been unhappy with his contract for nearly two years, and a fifth-round draft pick to the Baltimore Ravens for third- and fourth-round selections in the 2010 draft. "I'm definitely excited," Boldin said in a statement. "For me, I've been hoping for this for a year since I first heard that the Ravens might be interested in me. I even talked with Ray (Lewis) about it a year ago. "I really look at this as a great opportunity for me. They love football in Baltimore. I know that from when the Cardinals played there a few years ago. That place was loud, very impressive by the fans. The Ravens ..."
Ravens trade for wide receiver Boldin
"The Ravens made their boldest move in this year's wide receiver revitalization project by trading for Anquan Boldin, their newly appointed No. 1 target. Capturing one of the biggest headlines on the first day of free agency, the Ravens acquired the three-time Pro Bowl player and a fifth-round pick from the Arizona Cardinals in exchange for their third- and fourth-round picks in next month's draft. Only minutes after completing the trade, the Ravens reiterated their high expectations for Boldin by giving him a four-year, $28 million contract, which includes $10 million guaranteed. The hope is that Boldin becomes a pivotal factor in the development of quarterback Joe Flacco and boosts the ..."
Arizona Cardinals trade Anquan Boldin to Baltimore Ravens
"The Cardinals traded receiver Anquan Boldin to the Ravens on Friday, ending a seven-year relationship defined by astounding achievement and tinged with vitriol. The Cardinals sent Boldin and a fifth-round pick in this year's draft to Baltimore in exchange for the Ravens' third- and fourth-round selections. Before the deal was consummated, Boldin had reached agreement with the Ravens on a three-year contract extension worth $25 million in new money. "On a lot of levels, it's tough to know that Anquan is not going to be out there any more," coach Ken Whisenhunt said, "but I also think it was time. This was in the best interest of Anquan and it was in the best interest of us." After meeting ..."
Cardinals trade Boldin to Ravens
"The Baltimore Ravens couldn't pass up the opportunity to add a talented pass catcher to their roster: three-time Pro Bowl standout Anquan Boldin. Baltimore obtained Boldin from the Arizona Cardinals on Friday for a third- and fourth-round pick in the 2010 draft. Baltimore also got a fifth-round pick from Arizona. The 29-year-old Boldin has amassed at least 1,000 yards receiving in five of his seven seasons, including 1,024 yards on 84 catches last season. Boldin received a new four-year, $28 million deal with Baltimore in which $10 million is guaranteed. He was to set to earn $3 million next season, the last of the four-year, $22.5 million deal he signed with Arizona after the 2005 season. ..."
WR gives Baltimore a playmaker on the outside
"The Ravens made a big play today, as reported by our own Aaron Wilson, when they acquired WR Anquan Boldin by giving up a third and fourth round pick in the 2010 NFL Draft. But, just how big of a move was it for Baltimore? The Ravens are built up front with a young offensive line and the downhill running style of Ray Rice. That is where they make their money, but with Boldin now in the mix, Baltimore has the type of receiver who can win across the middle of the field, and more importantly, is a game plan nightmare for opposing defenses because of what he can do in the open field after the catch."
Ravens trade for wide receiver Boldin
"The Ravens made a bold move to improve their passing game, trading for Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Anquan Boldin. It is believed the Ravens sent third- and fourth-round picks to the Cardinals in exchange for Boldin and a fifth-round pick. According to ESPN, Boldin has agreed to a new four-year, $28 million contract. It is believed the Ravens beat out the Kansas City Chiefs for the three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver. "The Ravens just got better," coach John Harbaugh said. "Anquan is a significant addition for us. He fits the personality of our team with the hard-nosed, physical way he plays. We love the way he competes. Our fans will enjoy watching him compete and his teammates will be ..."
Cards say Boldin could be traded
"The Arizona Cardinals aren't ruling out trading wide receiver Anquan Boldin this offseason. "Our approach with Anquan is really the same as what it was last year: We're going to consider all our options," General Manager Rod Graves said here Saturday "... We'll go through what the options are throughout the offseason, and make the decision that's best for our team." Boldin has clashed with team officials in the past over his contract and the Cardinals previously have indicated a willingness to listen to trade offers for him, without completing a deal. "We're going to look at all the options regarding Anquan and regarding all our players," Coach Ken Whisenhunt said Saturday."
Cardinals weighing their options with WR Anquan Boldin
"All indications point to a shallow free-agent market if the NFL, as expected, goes to an uncapped season in 2010. That means trades could be in vogue for teams in need, and players like Arizona WR Anquan Boldin could be on the move. Cardinals GM Rod Graves tells the team's website that he will "settle on whatever is best for the team" in regards to Boldin, a perennial Pro Bowler who has one season left on a contract he's been unhappy with since the team broke the bank for fellow WR Larry Fitzgerald two years ago. Given the presence of Steve Breaston and the strong showing of sophomore Early Doucet and his Boldin-like play in the postseason, Boldin himself could be an attractive bargaining ..."
Anquan Boldin will not request trade
"I promised you I'd try to catch up with Arizona Cardinals receiver Anquan Boldin after this playoff game between the Saints and Cardinals. I keep my promises. And the news for Dolphins fans hoping to see Boldin in a Dolphins uniform next season is not great. Boldin, you see, told me as he walked out of the Arizona locker room that he will not request a trade this offseason. "No," Boldin told me following Arizona's 45-14 loss to New Orleans said. "I'm going to let it play out." Boldin is under contract to Arizona for the 2010 season at a scheduled pay of $3 million. It is the final year of his deal. And considering he's a 1,000-yard caliber receiver, he believes he has been underpaid for ..."
Boldin officially listed as questionable
"The Arizona Cardinals were not scheduled to practice Friday as they travel to New Orleans, but the team was required to submit the official status of their players. So, officially, four Cardinals were listed as questionable for Saturday's divisional playoff game against the Saints: WR Anquan Boldin (ankle), DE Calais Campbell (thumb), LB Will Davis (knee) and LB Gerald Hayes (ankle). Bolding and Hayes were the only two Cardinals who did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday."
Source: Boldin not expected to play
"The Arizona Cardinals are not expecting wide receiver Anquan Boldin to play in Saturday's NFC divisional playoff game against New Orleans. The Cardinals, however, has not fully abandoned hopes that Boldin will be available to play, a team source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter on Thursday. The feeling is that, if the Cardinals can beat the Saints in New Orleans, Boldin would be ready to play the NFC Championship Game. Boldin has been nursing knee and ankle injuries, but his knee is more of an issue than the ankle, and it's the main reason he missed last Sunday's victory against the Packers and the main reason he is likely to sit out Saturday against the Saints."
Cardinals' Anquan Boldin doesn't practice, status still iffy
"Anquan Boldin didn't participate in practice Thursday, and his status for Saturday's NFC divisional playoff game at New Orleans is uncertain. "Everything is the same, nothing has really changed," said Boldin, who hasn't practiced in two weeks since suffering left ankle and knee injuries in the regular-season finale against Green Bay. "It's better than it was a couple days ago, though, so I'm optimistic." Boldin is continuing to get treatment in hopes of playing against the Saints, but he is likely to be a game-time decision, head coach Ken Whisenhunt said. But can a player who hasn't practiced in two weeks be an active part of the offensive packages the Cardinals plan to roll out at the ..."
Cardinals receiver Anquan Boldin eyes return
"The Cardinals were still stiff and sore at practice Tuesday, two days after their overtime victory over the Packers. Coach Ken Whisenhunt was happy with the mental attitude of his team, however, and has planned to back off the practice regimen this week because of the Saturday game in New Orleans. Tuesday is usually the players' day off, but that changed because of the shorter workweek. The Cardinals didn't wear pads on Tuesday but went through a two-hour workout. Receiver Anquan Boldin said his sprained ankle and knee have improved and that he's hopeful of practicing this week. Starting inside linebacker Gerald Hayes wore a boot on his right foot because of a sprained ankle. Teams don't ..."
Life without Anquan Boldin might not be all that bad for Cardinals
"For the second year in a row, we have seen what life might be like for the Cardinals without Anquan Boldin. And it doesn't look all that bad. Boldin was in street clothes Sunday, sidelined by a sprained knee and ankle, yet the Cardinals offense still put 45 points on the board. And as an unexpected bonus, the Big Red defense made a play, too - and scored the game-winning touchdown as the Cardinals began defense of their NFC championship with a crazy 51-45 overtime victory over the Green Bay Packers at University of Phoenix Stadium. Offensively, the game was reminiscent of last year's divisional round victory, when the Cardinals went to Carolina without Boldin and smoked the Panthers to ..."
Receivers fill in for Boldin
"Anquan Boldin didn't play on Sunday because of his ankle and knee injuries, but it was hard to notice. Reserve wide receivers Early Doucet and Steve Breaston made the most of their increased opportunity, combining for three touchdown catches as Arizona's high-powered offense hit on all cylinders. Doucet had only one touchdown reception all season, but corralled two balls for scores by the second quarter. He finished with six catches for 77 yards. Breaston led the team with seven receptions for 125 yards, and his 17-yard touchdown catch with 4:55 remaining gave the Cardinals a 45-38 lead. He also had an end-around rushing attempt that went for 28 yards."
Cardinals' Anquan Boldin a game-time decision vs. Packers
"Cue the suspense. Or better yet, make that 'Q' the suspense. Receiver Anquan Boldin spent part of Saturday testing his injured left ankle and knee to see if countless hours of rehab and treatment had been effective enough to allow him to play in Sunday's NFC playoff game against the Packers. Unless he told coach Ken Whisenhunt after team meetings Saturday night that he couldn't go, Boldin likely will take the field for pregame workouts, and then it will be a game-time decision. "Hopefully he can go, but if not, we've got to have other guys step up," Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner said. "Maybe it's one guy, maybe it's two guys, maybe it's three guys. But we have to have that group bring ..."
Boldin's time with Cardinals could be near end
"Not long ago, it was receiver Anquan Boldin's locker that reporters surrounded to ask their State of the Cardinals questions. It was his picture that team management pointed to and told scouts, "We need more players like this." It was his contract extension that once was hailed as a new era for a franchise that once almost held the doors open as star players departed. Four years ago, after Boldin signed an extension, a time such as this seemed impossible. But as the Cardinals enter the playoffs Sunday, each game could be Boldin's last with the team. The 2010 season is the final year of his contract. After three years of seeking an extension, it's more likely that Boldin will be traded ..."
Haggans cherishes his opportunity; Boldin game time decision vs Packers
"A year ago, Cardinals outside linebacker Clark Haggans felt trapped. The LisFranc sprain in his left foot might as well have been an anchor, dragging him to the injured reserve list and out of the lineup for the playoffs. This season, Haggans has been a regular starter at left outside linebacker and has been among the team's more consistent defenders. "This is a blessing," Haggans said. "The injury I had last year, they were saying how my career could possibly be over. It crosses my mind how valuable football is to a player, how much you love the game and how you sometimes take it for granted." Haggans, in his 10th season, has been to the playoffs before and won a Super Bowl ring as a ..."
Anquan Boldin has a high left ankle sprain and sprained left medial collateral ligament
"The Cardinals tried to play it safe last week against the Packers and give as many starters as much rest as they could. At least that was the plan. Ironically, they have more significant players nursing injuries than at any other time this season. Here's an update: Receiver Anquan Boldin -- He told me he has a high left ankle sprain and a sprained left medial collateral ligament. He worked with a trainer during practice but it's questionable if he'll play Sunday against the Packers. Cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie -- He did some work on the side, too, but said his sore left knee is no better than it was Monday. Rodgers-Cromartie can run but backpedaling and moving laterally are ..."
Boldin not in pads at start of practice
"Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Anquan Boldin, who sprained his left ankle during Sunday's 33-7 loss to the Green Bay Packers, was relegated to the stationary bicycle at the start of Wednesday's practice. Boldin was injured while trying to catch a pass over his head from backup quarterback Matt Leinart during the third quarter of the regular-season finale. He was not in pads Wednesday. Boldin also was injured during last year's postseason run and was inactive for the Cardinals' second-round playoff game at Carolina. He wound up with 14 receptions, including eight in the Super Bowl against Pittsburgh, for 190 yards and one touchdown during their run to the Super Bowl."
Boldin undergoes MRI Monday, results still unavailable
"Boldin, who was hurt in the third quarter while trying to catch a pass from Matt Leinart, underwent MRI exams Monday on both his left ankle and knee. The results weren't immediately available. The good news is, Rodgers-Cromartie was moving around much better the day after the game, Whisenhunt said, and Campbell, tied for the team lead with seven sacks, will be fitted with a cast that could allow him to play. "This is a playoff game and guys want to play," Whisenhunt said. "The sense of urgency is definitely there and that's why I feel we've got a chance to get these guys back.""
Injuries strike three Cardinals starters vs. Packers
"The Cardinals entered Sunday's game worried more about what was on the injury report than the scoreboard. It turns out they lost in both places. Three starters were injured in a 33-7 loss to the Packers, and their status for this weekend's playoff game against Green Bay is unknown. Cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie suffered a left-knee contusion while tackling tight end Jermichael Finley on the third play of the game. Receiver Anquan Boldin twisted his right knee and ankle while trying to catch a pass from Matt Leinart in the third quarter. And right defensive end Calais Campbell suffered an injury to his left thumb in the second half. All three will be evaluated in the next few days. ..."
Stanton plays but Lions lose at home to Cardinals
"Anquan Boldin's 5-yard touchdown pass with 1:54 to play handed the Lions a 31-24 loss to the Cardinals today at Ford Field. Drew Stanton wasn't able to lead a last-minute drive, which fizzled on a fourth-down incompletion. Stanton played the second half at quarterback. He was 10-for-19 for 72 yards and an interception. Daunte Culpepper, who played the first half, was 6-for-12 for 64 yards and an interception. Maurice Morris had 17 carries for 126 yards and a touchdown. He also had five catches for 35 yards. "Daunte didn'tpunts, Daunte didn'tpasses, Daunte didn't jump offside," Lions coach Jim Schwartz said. "A quarterback is judged by points and we weren't getting that done." Schwartz ..."
Key to stopping Arizona's Larry Fitzgerald is pressuring QB Kurt Warner
"Arizona wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald stands 6 feet 3 with spring-loaded legs and a gift of grab as strong as Spock's Vulcan nerve pinch. He's a handful by just about any measure. "Unless you're in the perfect position, he's going to make you pay," said Tim Lewis, the Seahawks' secondary coach. Costly is probably the right term for Seattle's recent coverage of Fitzgerald. His receiving-yards total has hit triple digits each of his past three games against the Seahawks — all Arizona victories, by the way — and just last month he caught 13 passes in the Cardinals' 27-3 victory in Seattle. There is one surefire way to keep Fitzgerald from getting his hands on the ball, though, and that's to ..."
Boldin says he has moved on from last Sunday
"Receiver Anquan Boldin expressed no regrets but said he has "moved on" since voicing his unhappiness over being designated as inactive for last Sunday's game in Chicago. "I'm done with the situation," Boldin said Wednesday. "I said what I had to say and I've moved on. I'm going to continue to do my job and whatever happens, happens." Boldin said he had not talked to coach Ken Whisenhunt about the matter. Boldin was upset about missing last Sunday's game, and he said afterward that no one was "man enough" to tell him to his face. He found out he wasn't playing when he noticed his equipment had been removed from his locker."
Boldin upset about deactivation
"The Cardinals returned home Sunday with another road victory, the division lead and one miserable receiver. Anquan Boldin was among the team's eight inactive players, and he said no one was "man enough" to tell him he wasn't playing. Boldin said he found out before the game when he returned to locker room from testing his injured right ankle and found his gear had been removed from his locker. "I'd have probably felt better if somebody would have been man enough and walked up to me and told me what the situation was," he said, "but I had to walk back in the locker room and find all of my stuff gone." Coach Ken Whisenhunt disputed that version of events. He said he turned in the list of ..."
Boldin among inactives for Cardinals
"Arizona Cardinals receiver Anquan Boldin is among the team's eight inactive players, a bit of a surprise given how much Boldin practiced on Friday. Inside linebacker Gerald Hayes also is inactive. He was limited all week with back spasms. Ali Highsmith, who is about 20 pounds lighter than Hayes will start. Perhaps Boldin didn't feel right during warm-ups. His absence means receiver Early Doucet is active for the first time this season. Steve Breaston will start with Jerheme Urban moving up to the No. 3 role. Maybe the Cardinals will want to get rid of his butterflies early by throwing him a quick screen."
Hester expects to play; Boldin less certain
"The Bears won't be without their top wide receiver, and the Arizona Cardinals just might have their No. 2 guy after all Sunday at Soldier Field. Devin Hester returned to practice for the first time this week on Friday with his sprained right ankle and participated in portions of practice. He looked fine running around, and although he's listed as questionable on the injury report, he's expected to start. The Cardinals also got wide receiver Anquan Boldin back on the field Friday in a limited capacity, and he also is questionable. Boldin suffered a high ankle sprain on Oct. 11 and was knocked out of last Sunday's loss to the Carolina Panthers. He has vowed to play, and the Bears are ..."
Boldin's days with Cards are short
"Anquan Boldin knows only one way to play football: Head-on and all out. The day he ducks a defender or goes out of bounds to avoid a hit is the day he'll leave the game. "I'd be cheating my talent and myself," Boldin said Wednesday. "That's not me." Boldin is a warrior. It's what first endeared him to Cardinals fans. He'd bounce off one defender, run over the next and when he stood up, invariably signaling for a first down, they'd jump to their feet and celebrate his physicality. But the body pays a price for all those collisions, and these days it's not Boldin's attitude that is being talked about, but his availability. The Cardinals don't know if he'll play against the Chicago Bears ..."
Cards should bench Boldin
"Over the past seven seasons, I've seen every one of Anquan Boldin's 537 receptions and written thousands of words about him. I was in Detroit in 2003 for his spectacular NFL debut. I was in Glendale last week when he passed Larry Centers to become the franchise's all-time leader in receptions. I've written about his three Pro Bowl selections, his contract squabbles and his trade demands. But I've never typed these words about him: Bench him. Not because Boldin isn't producing but because he can't. A sprained right ankle has made him less than ordinary in recent weeks, and it's not likely to improve until Boldin takes time off. Telling Boldin to sit out Sunday's game in Chicago won't be ..."
Boldin sets franchise catches mark, aggravates right ankle sprain
"Anquan Boldin has caught more passes than anyone in Cardinals history. But no one can say for sure when he'll have the opportunity to add to his total. Boldin aggravated a right-ankle sprain in the third quarter Sunday on the 537th reception of his career, an 8-yard gain. He hobbled off the field and didn't return. Boldin passed fullback Larry Centers, who had 535 receptions. Boldin has played the past two games despite the sprain, but his availability for Sunday's game at Chicago is in question. "The one issue we had going into the game was if he took a shot on that ankle," coach Ken Whisenhunt said. "As low of probability of that happening, it did happen. It's hard when you lose him in ..."
Boldin gets back on Cardinals practice field
"Receiver Anquan Boldin participated in practice Friday for the first time this week, and coach Ken Whisenhunt said he was encouraged by Boldin's recovery from a sprained ankle. Boldin is pleased with his recovery, too. "Every day, it's getting better," he said. "No setbacks yet." The official injury report hasn't been released yet, but I would guess Boldin will be listed as questionable."
Cards' Boldin a 'game-time decision'
"Cardinals receiver Anquan Boldin didn't practice Wednesday because of a sprained ankle, and his status for Sunday night's game against the Giants won't likely be determined until that day. "It's up in the air right now," Boldin said. "It probably will be a game-time decision." Boldin suffered the sprained right ankle in the first half last Sunday against Seattle and played a minimal amount in the second half. Boldin said there hasn't been much swelling and he underwent a rigorous rehabilitation session during practice. If Boldin can't play, Steve Breaston would start with Jerheme Urban moving up to the No. 3 receiver role. Tight end Stephen Spach, who missed last week's game with a ..."
Cardinals' Boldin to undergo tests on ankle
"Cardinals receiver Anquan Boldin will undergo more tests today on his sprained right ankle, and his status for Sunday's game against the Giants is unknown, coach Ken Whisenhunt said. Boldin suffered the injury in the first half and played a limited amount in the final two quarters. X-rays taken at the stadium revealed no breaks, and the Cardinals will know more about his status as the week progresses, Whisenhunt said."
Boldin questionable for Sunday
"Outside linebacker Chike Okeafor (shoulder) practiced Friday for the first time this week and is questionable for Sunday's game. Okeafor suffered a shoulder injury last week and has had some swelling that limited his range of motion. He's improved as the week has progress, coach Ken Whisenhunt said. Receivers Anquan Boldin (hamstring) and Steve Breaton (knee) were limited in practice and are questionable. Whisenhunt seems optimistic both will play. Receiver Early Doucet (ribs) also is listed as questionable."
Saga casting Boldin in dimmer light
"Sadly, most of us no longer care about Anquan Boldin's mood, his contract or why he's wearing a Dodgers cap inside Chase Field. His hamstrings are another story. Bring up the H-word, and my ears burn. It reminds me of the uneasiness that accompanied most of last year's playoff run. Did Q practice? Will he play? Can the Cardinals win without him? This week, the unfortunate answers are (1) not really; (2) not certain; and (3) they better, lest they drive the bandwagon into a ditch. In Arizona, the H-word bothers everybody. It makes coaches fib to the media and play loose with the injury report. It tweaks the emotions of the fan base, stressing out spectators who need their mid-week rest. It ..."
Boldin sits out Cardinals practice
"Pro Bowl receiver Anquan Boldin was not practicing Wednesday with the Cardinals. Boldin, who is nursing a hamstring injury, was seen doing some stretching but was not taking part in any drills."
Cards WR Boldin not practicing today
"Cardinals wide receiver Anquan Boldin is not practicing today, nursing a sore right hamstring. Boldin did not play the final two preseason games because of the injury. The Cardinals are preparing for the opener Sunday at home against the San Francisco 49ers."
Cards' Boldin has hamstring injury
"Cardinals wide receiver Anquan Boldin suffered a strained right hamstring in Tuesday's practice and missed Wednesday's workout. Coach Ken Whisenhunt called it a tweak and wouldn't rule Boldin out of Friday's preseason game against the Packers. He did, however, say the Cardinals would be cautious in dealing with Boldin's injury. That means Boldin probably won't play. Steve Breaston, the No. 3 receiver, isn't expected to play because of a knee injury. Jerheme Urban would start along with Larry Fitzgerald, with Lance Long, Early Doucet, Sean Morey and Onrea Jones getting more playing time."
Boldin focusing on football, not contract
"It's easy to read Cardinals wide receiver Anquan Boldin. When he's content - truly content - he's loud and boisterous and his laughter fills the locker room. When he's upset, his smile disappears and his responses are clipped and perfunctory. So it was fairly simple to get a read on Boldin's mood Thursday after the Cardinals finished their conditioning drill at Northern Arizona University. He's still not happy the organization has failed to renegotiate his contract. He's still not particularly close to coach Ken Whisenhunt. And he wouldn't shed any tears if he was traded tomorrow. But unlike last July, when Boldin accused the organization of lying to him and publicly criticized Whisenhunt, ..."
Boldin leaves contract talk to agent
"Storm clouds gathered as the Cardinals conducted their annual conditioning run Thursday, but unlike last year, they were not man made. A year ago after the same run, receiver Anquan Boldin pelted the organization with criticism for not addressing his contract situation, vowing never to re-sign with the team. Boldin likely still has issues with his contract, but he wasn't sharing them with the media Thursday. He deflected questions about his contract status and previous trade demands, saying he's intent on enjoying the season. "How I feel ain't going to change a thing," he said when asked if he still thought the Cardinals had deceived him. "So it don't make no sense to sit here and harp ..."
Cards-Boldin talks still weeks away
"The Cardinals are at least several weeks away from having substantive talks with the agent for receiver Anquan Boldin about a contract extension, General Manager Rod Graves said. Graves declined to discuss specifics, but it's known he and Tom Condon, Boldin's new agent, had preliminary talks this spring. Graves traditionally has refrained from negotiating contract extensions until the regular season is well under way. By doing that, he can see the makeup of the final roster and take care of personnel moves necessitated by injuries."
Boldin hires Condon as agent
"Receiver Anquan Boldin has hired Tom Condon as his agent, replacing Drew Rosenhaus, who was fired last week. Condon's hiring was expected, and Graves acknowledged Monday that Condon called recently to inform him of the change. The two hope to have a meeting some time this month. Boldin is seeking a restructuring of his present contract, which has two years remaining. Rosenhaus and the Cardinals made no progress in talks over the past two years, prompting the decision by Boldin to change representation. Boldin has not attended the team's voluntary practices and has been unavailable for comment. Condon did not return a message. Condon has represented several Cardinals over the years, ..."
