The St. Louis Rams begin their offseason conditioning program on Monday, and it looks like they'll be without one of their best players. Safety Oshiomogho Atogwe does not plan on showing up and quite possibly could stay away from the organization throughout the summer, according to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. If you are the St. Louis Rams, why make a move with QB Marc Bulger now? He is under contract, and when the new league year opens this Friday, the Rams don't owe Bulger anything-no bonus money at all. He is still free labor for them until the actual 2010 season starts, where he is due $8.5 million. My point in simple here: the Rams can play a waiting game.
