Yahoo! Sports: T-Mac interested in Chicago, Bulls creating space for Ben Gordon?
found this kind of funny
![]() ...have seen some trade ideas for t-mac on here, and this should put them to rest Houston Rockets guard Tracy McGrady(notes) would love a move to the Chicago Bulls, one league executive said, but Bulls GM Gar Forman has no interest. The Chicago Bulls are trying to convince the New Jersey Nets to take their 16th and 26th picks to move to No. 11, and one Eastern Conference executive says Chicago’s target is Wake Forest forward James Johnson. Some say Johnson has been slipping and could be available at No. 16, but no one seems sure about anything in this draft. The Bulls are trying to move useless Jerome James(notes) and his $6.6 million contract to create more cap space to re-sign Ben Gordon(notes). If they don’t send the Nets their two first-round picks for No. 11, they’ll have to ship one of those picks to get a team to take James from them. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_yl...yhoo&type=lgns Last edited by abe_froman; 06-19-2009 at 02:54 PM. |

Why funny? He's overpaid and doesn't fit with where this team is going.. young, learning, on the way up. That describes the Bull's not Tmac.

He had his chance in 2000. And I used to LOVE T-Mac. Thought he was CRAZY talented.

We would only take T-mac because of his expiring contract.

no to t-mac , no to moving up in the draft(its a weak draft , i just do not see a point in moving up) , and no to signing bg7 to a contract more than 9mil. a big HELL YES to getting rid of the jerome james contract.

I HATE the rumors that we're trying to get the #11 pick for our 2 picks. There isn't much of a difference between #11 and #16 in this draft. If we're gonna trade up, we should trade within the top 7 and get a player like Demar DeRozan or maybe Jordan Hill. Otherwise, we should stick to where we are. I think a good player like maybe Austin Daye, Dejuan Blair, Wayne Ellington, etc. could definitely be there at #16. I'm also not overly impressed with James Johnson. Also, HELL NO to having to trade one of our 1sts in order to get rid of Jerome James. He's a 2010 expiring, if nothing else, and we don't need to give up a 1st round pick just to have his contract off the books now. If we can trade him without taking a garbage contract back or without having to give up one of our 1sts, then I'm all for it.

i remember seeing a report abt how T-Mac is going to be out for the first 20-30 games of the 2009-10 season. Anyways, i cant believe were going to try to replace a 20ppg scorer (BG7) with a #11 draft pick. The FAgency sux this year as well for wings, unless we want Jamal Crawford.
