Lebron to Clipps in 2010?

Have heard rumblings from P.T.I espn and the Dan Patrick show about the possibility of Lebron choosing L.A for his 2010 free agency. Most people will prolly laugh pretty hard when reading this thread, but after I thought about it 4 a while it could make alotta a sense for Lebron. A potiental lineup of
Baron
Gordon
Lebron
Griffin
Camby
and Al thornton off the bench spells Dynasty.
Ok dynasty might be over the top, so how bout one hell of a Big 5!!!

On pardon the interruption on espn I believe wilbourn was talking about this possibility, and although he sounds like a definite clipp hater, he said,'' Out of all the big market teams, the LA Clippers would be the best bet for Lebron''
"The clippers have alot of young talent especially with Blake Griffin the 2009number one pick!
So I'm sure most superstar players would prolly never come to the Clippers, but if New york and NewJersey are the only teams that are willing to court Lebron wouldnt the Clippers be an easier choice??
I believe the Clippers roster now looks better then Clevelands??Agree???yes/no

Who wouldnt love to see Kobe vrs Lebron at staples center every year battling for first in the pacific?????????????

I think a Lebron-Griffin-Gordon- trifecta could be unstoppable.
So even if you think the Clippers are the crappiest franchise ever, Could LA be the place for Lebron? One of the biggest markets,Hollywood, perfect weather,The King of New York, or the King of LA? I'm sure the Black Mamba wont be happy with the King of LA phrase. lol

That'd be an incredible twist.
However, they won't have the cap space to go after him outside of a sign and trade.
He could/will put any franchise on the map.

ok let me rephrase that. The clippers mangagement has had a history of sucking. Just because lebron is there that won't change unless they change managment. lebron will have better options and he can get more money.

As of today, the Clippers have $43 million on the books for the 2010/2011 season. The players are:

Randolph- $17.3 Mil
Davis- $13 Mil
Kaman- $11.3 Mil
Gordon- $3 Mil team option
Thornton- $2.8 Mil team option
Mardy Collins- RFA $2.7 Mil qualifying offer
DeAndre Jordan- $854K
Mike Taylor- $854k

If they trade Randolph this summer, it is certainly possible LeBron could wind up in LA. I still think he stays on the East Coast, but that is pure speculation. As an east coast guy, i would never stay up to watch a 10:30 lebron start time if he played in Cali.

FYI the team options and qualifying offers dont count towards the books AS OF YET cuz the options have not been picked up YET. LAC would be stupid to not pick up options on Gordon and Thornton

I think phoenix would be in a better situation than anyone. Phoenix has a bunch of expirings for 2010 shaq,nash,amare,j-rich,tucker, and amundson phoenix has a lot more money to give lebron. If they sign nash and amare to extensions and trade shaq for maybe tyson chandler you would have a lineup of:

PG:Nash
SG:Barbosa
SF:Lebron
PF:Amare
C:Chandler

I think he has a better oppurtunity in phoenix

Ah yes, Pheonix. Good reply. As long as the goggles Amare has to wear the rest of his career dont effect him in a bad way and if Nash resigns this summer. The suns could be a definte suitor for Bron, what they do this summer effects 2010 4 sho!

you could even do this trade shaq for mike miller, expirings, and the 6th pick. J-rich for expiring contracts . Sign rasheed wallace.Line-up 2010

PG. Nash/dragic
SG. Mike miller/ barbosa
SF. Lebron/dudley
PF. Amare/
C. Rasheed/ lopez

Nash(possibly MLE) 5 million
Miller 8 million(not sure)
Lebron 20 million
Amare 15-20 million(17 million)
Rasheed 8 million
Barbosa 7 million
Lopez/dudley/dragic 3 million

74 million but a championship contender 12 million over the cap maybe sign people to vets minimum

Wow that would be a nice squad.
