If I am the Cheifs i offer my 1st round pick. None of these QB's are worth a numba 3 selections. I would not trust Mark Sanchez with my team, but as for Cassell, i would take him every day of the week.

I hope Todd Haley doesn't leave the Cardinals for the Chiefs. That would be horrible for this young team (Cardinals).

The Chief trading the number 3 pick in the draft for Cassell would be a horrible trade. He is worth a 3rd rounder at best. Not only would the Chiefs be trading a #3 pick but, he isn't gurenteed to stay for more than the one year. Next off I think Cassell was a product of a system that included two of the best wide recievers in football. 3rdly the Chiefs don't need to be drafting a QB, they should trade down in the draft because they need more picks and need to focus on bringing back guys to develop a pass rush, the whole reason our defense that was steadily improving before this year fell apart.

He could net 2 1st rounders. I guess you're not to educated on players worth invloving draft picks. Teams are willing to unload for a potential franchise QB which is Cassel. System? I guess Brady was a system QB when he won the superbowl with the worst recieving core in football too huh? He would negotiate a new contract with the Chiefs there buddy. Way to be way off on every point you made.

No i dont like this at all. I love thigpen and think he has a bright future i think you need to give him one more impact WR other than Bowe and than take the draft and pull a ravens style and draft all Defence and they have a great future.

That's the thing though, Brady WON the Super Bowl with no receivers, while Cassel lost the division with two great receivers, that's why people don't trust him yet.

Brady also played with strong defenses behind him. Cassel did a hell of a job as a first-year starter who hadn't had game experience since high school. Granted he had two studs at WR, but beyond that, he had a highly inconsistent and nearly non-existent TE in Ben Watson, and an inconsistent Jabar Gaffney to throw to. The Pats O-line also was not as solid as the year before as Stephen Neal was injured in the beginning of the season and Light was hurt at the end.

On the flip side, saying Cassel lost the division with two great receivers is not valid. On defense, the Pats struggled with depth after many starters missed time.Rodney Harrison, Adalius Thomas, Ty Warren, Tedy Bruschi, Wheatley, Crable, Pierre Woods all experienced significant time lost due to injury. We had Deltha O'Neal and Jonathan Wilhite as our corners by the end of the year along with Hobbs. Seymour and Wilfork were also banged up for a few games. Cassel played admirably for most of the season save for the Steelers game- the Super Bowl champions, with a running back by committee and a much weaker defense than in years past.

Can't see it happening.....#3 overall is too high a pick for Cassel. I could see the Vikings or someone deeper in the 1st making a play at him.

He will land somewhere and score a LARGE contract.

Just so you know Ben Watson sucks. TG would be interesting because his cap is low - maybe.

The Pats will make a deal, possibly w/ KC. I doubt they can swing KC's #1. Maybe a #2 this year, and a #3 and #4 next year.

He could be traded elsewhere for a late first round pick. Don't forget Cassel will be getting a lot of $$, and can't throw past 20 yards - go watch some tape.

You forgot all the injuries on the team. Starting RB, Starting ILB, Starting S, various OL and DL's missing games - with them all healthy Pats win at least one more game and get in the playoffs.

Brady's 2nd and 3rd SB teams had much better defenses also. And '01 team was healthier.
