"Fantasy Week 3 (Nov. 10-16)
Teams with four games: Atlanta, Boston, Denver, Detroit, Indiana, Miami, Milwaukee, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma City, Orlando, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Portland, Sacramento, San Antonio, Utah
Teams with three games: Charlotte, Chicago, Cleveland, Dallas, Golden State, Houston, L.A. Lakers, Memphis, Minnesota, New Orleans, Toronto
Teams with two games: L.A. Clippers, Washington
Atlanta Hawks (Nov. 11 @ CHI; Nov. 12 @ BOS; Nov. 14 @ NJ; Nov. 15 vs. NJ): The Hawks will play New Jersey twice, the Nets allowing 101.3 ppg. That's obviously good news for the likes of Joe Johnson and Josh Smith. Marvin Williams should also be a solid play this week in any format. The four-game week makes Ronald Murray appealing in deeper leagues as an injury replacement. He's scored in double figures in two of the three games he has played in with a handful of assists and rebounds. Al Horford is a must-start for four-game weeks. No use starting Maurice Evans yet.
One-Week Boom: Al Horford
Boston Celtics (Nov. 10 vs. TOR; Nov. 12 vs. ATL; Nov. 14; Nov. 15 @ MIL): The Celtics have a full, four-game week that includes tough matchups against Toronto and Atlanta and a favorable one against Denver. Atlanta is allowing the fewest points in the NBA. Milwaukee, who allowed 103.9 ppg a season ago, is just allowing 95.2 ppg so far. Start Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett. Leon Powe has come on strong in the early going, but is only useful in leagues of 14-plus teams. Kendrick Perkins is starting to put together some solid lines with double-digit scoring and useful rebounding totals. Use him in larger leagues as a stopgap if necessary this week. He's coming off good games against Yao Ming and Tyson Chandler.
One-Week Boom: Kendrick Perkins
Charlotte Bobcats (Nov. 11 vs. DEN; Nov. 14 vs. UTA; Nov. 16 vs. ORL): The Bobcats are one of the three-game teams this week and while they have a promising matchup against Denver to start the week, games against the Jazz and Orlando likely will result in games under 100 points. Gerald Wallace, Jason Richardson and Emeka Okafor are still safe starts this week, but Raymond Felton is a toss-up this week. It will depend on what your other options are. Secondary players like Jared Dudley and D.J. Augustin are a no-go for Week 3.
One-Week Bust: Raymond Felton
Chicago Bulls (Nov. 11 vs. ATL; Nov. 13 vs. DAL; Nov. 15 vs. IND):The Bulls have just three games, including a tough one to start the week against a Hawks team that has allowed the fewest points per game (84.0) in the NBA to date. Dallas allows just under 95 points and Indiana allows just over 97 per game. The Bulls have been averaging 94.0 points themselves. Rookie Derrick Rose leads the team in scoring and assists and should be a safe start. Ben Gordon will be around 15-20 points per game in the three contests with a few assists. Drew Gooden is now eligible at center in CBSSports.com leagu
