"Rookie guard Kyle Weaver is now part of Oklahoma City's NBA team after signing a multi-year contract. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Weaver, 6-foot-6, was the 38th pick in the 2008 NBA draft. Oklahoma City acquired his rights in a trade with the Charlotte Hornets two weeks ago in exchange for a 2009 second-round draft pick. Weaver averaged 12.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists in his senior year at Washington State.

Weaver was named to the Pac 10 All-Defensive team."
