"Well, we're confused. First, FOX's Jay Glazer tweeted that free agent DE Aaron Kampman is scheduled to visit the Eagles. Kampman's name certainly has been linked to the Birds in repeated FA speculation; though less splashy than Julius Peppers, he is an intense, high motor player who would improve the DE spot opposite Trent Cole.
Then, though, Glazer corrected his tweet, saying the Eagles have spoken to agent Neil Cornich, but that no visit has been scheduled. Efforts to contact Cornich for comment have been unsuccessful. The Eagles have not responded to requests for comment. They usually -- but not always -- announce free agent visits.
Then again, Tom Silverstein, who covers the Packers for the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, reports via Twitter that a "very reliable source" has told him that Kampman is coming to visit the Eagles. He did caution that Kampman's agent may be spreading the word of a visit before it happens.
Meanwhile, Andrew Brandt has a column about Kampman on National Football Post. Brandt was a vice president of finance for the Packers, served as a consultant for the Eagles last year and teaches at Wharton."
