"Drew Rosenhaus, the agent for Dallas Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens, said the possibility of Owens being released during the off-season is a "non-story."
Because of this feeling, Rosenhaus refused to discuss Owens' future in Dallas while attending the Senior Bowl practices. He recently did a radio interview in Miami and said Owens is "not going anywhere."
On Wednesday, Rosenhaus became agitated with questions about Owens' status or how the player is dealing with the speculation he might be released.
"I am not really interested in expanding on that," Rosenhaus said. "I already said what I've had to say about that. ... I just don't want to add to what I think is a non-story."
When Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones arrived in Mobile on Monday he surprisingly said he would not answers questions about Owens. The Cowboys' off-season changes could involve releasing the controversial receiver, who is due a $3.1 million roster bonus June 3.
Rosenhaus also represents linebacker Zach Thomas and running back Marion Barber. Rosenhaus said Thomas, who is a 35-year-old unrestricted free agent, is open to re-signing with the Cowboys.
"He is excited about next year and having another outstanding season," Rosenhaus said.
Following the loss to Philadelphia, Thomas said he would not be back with the Cowboys next season but back-tracked the next day.
Rosenhaus said Barber's dislocated right pinkie toe has improved and he will be ready for the Cowboys' off-season workouts."
