Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has dampened talk the La Liga giants will sign Manchester United star David De Gea this summer.

The Spaniard, 27, saw a dream move to the Bernabeu collapse in 2015 when Madrid failed to file the necessary paperwork in time on deadline day to sign him.

De Gea’s deal at Old Trafford has another 18 months to run but the Red Devils are expected to trigger a 12-month extension clause to prolong his stay until 2020.

The former Atletico Madrid stopper equaled a Premier League record in United’s 3-1 win against Arsenal last weekend and his performances are said to have alerted Madrid once more.
