Rangers ace Yu Darvish began the season on the disabled list with a neck injury and Tuesday came through a bullpen session with what has to be considered pretty great news.

Via a Rangers press release, here's the low down:

Pitcher Yu Darvish continued his throwing program on Tuesdaywith an 86-pitch bullpen session at Globe Life Park in Arlington. Working with pitching coach Mike Maddux, Darvish did a simulated session that was the equivalent of four innings.

Darvish felt strong and experienced no physical issues. He will be re-evaluated on Wednesday to determine the next course of action.

Darvish is on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to March 21, so he's eligible to come off the DL April 5.
