Yaya Toure has confirmed he intends to stay at Manchester City and will not push for a move.

Toure was expected to agitate for a move away from the Premier League champions after his agent claimed he had been treated with a lack of respect.

Before the World Cup, Toure and his agent, Dimitri Seluk, claimed City had failed to acknowledge the midfielder's birthday on a post-season trip to Abu Dhabi.

Toure and his agent also claimed the player was forced to go on the trip while his brother Ibrahim, who has since passed away, was suffering from cancer.
