There are 114 million reasons why Alex Rodriguez wouldn't want to retire from baseball, despite his latest performance-enhancing drugs scandal, and a source close to the embattled Yankee third baseman told ESPN that A-Rod won't quit.

"Alex has no plans at all to retire," said the source, which ESPN noted has "close personal ties" to Rodriguez. Another source told ESPN that Rodriguez, who is recovering from hip surgery that should keep him out of the lineup until at least July, is focused on his rehab.

Rodriguez, 37, has five years and $114 million left on his contract with the Yankees.
