After a week of buildup and excitement to finally retake the pitcher's mound, Andy Pettitte was forced to wait a few more hours.

Because of the postponement of tonight's series opener against the Toronto Blue Jays, Pettitte's return to the Yankees starting rotation was pushed back from tonight to tomorrow afternoon.

The left-hander — sidelined since June 27 with a fractured left ankle — will start the first game of tomorrow's day-night doubleheader.

"Whatever, you know, you can't control the weather," Pettitte said after the announcement of tonight's postponed game. "I'm just excited to get back out there."
