Moments after Dexter Fowler's foul ball struck Troy Tulowitzki on the left fibula in the eighth inning Monday night, he thought his leg was broken.

"When I went to the on-deck circle, I was sure it was because I couldn't feel anything," said Tulowitzki after the Rockies' 3-2 loss, their 12th in 15 games. "I guess you have a nerve in there like the elbow and that's what caused it to go numb. I know I am going to be really sore tomorrow. I don't know after that. I am not a doctor. But I glad that it's not worse."

X-Rays were negative on the leg, leaving the all-star shortstop listed as day-to-day with a deep bruise on his fibula. However, he's unlikely to play in the series finale against the Giants.
