Would Brett Favre be interested in the Miami Dolphins?

"Activate Favre Watch.

The NFL season is on the verge of starting, and Brett Favre's supposedly somewhere in Mississippi retired. But haven't we played this tune before?

We did it in 2008 when he retired from Green Bay, but came back to play for the New York Jets.

We did it in 2009 when he retired from the Jets, but came back to play for the Minnesota Vikings.

We did it in 2010 when Favre had to be convinced by his Vikings teammates, who came to his farm, to play one more year.

Here we are in 2011 wondering if the regular retiree is really done?

Well, if Favre's interested in playing yet another season it appears the Miami Dolphins would like to be considered as a possible landing spot for this 41-year old future Hall of Famer.

"I can't rule anything out," coach Tony Sparano said when asked directly about a column the Sun-Sentinel published, advocating on Favre's behalf.

Sparano pointed out the Dolphins aren't scared to add aging players by mentions Tiki Barber's workout on Tuesday, and the fact defensive end Jason Taylor was re-signed earlier this week.

Favre, who has played 20 seasons, has a relationship with new Dolphins offensive coordinator Brian Daboll, who served as his quarterback coach during his one season with the Jets.

Dolphins coaches haven't been pleased with what they've seen from the quarterback play during training camp's first week. And neither have the fans, which showered incumbent starter Chad Henne with boos and a "We Want Orton" chant during the team's Monday night scrimmage."
