"Tight end Jason Witten made the most of a milestone catch in the second quarter of the Dallas Cowboys' 33-30 win over the Washington Redskins.
Witten's 14-yard touchdown reception with 3:44 left in the first half was the 600th of his career. It also pushed the Cowboys' lead to 20-7, capping a nine-play, 91-yard drive.
Witten is only the fourth tight end in NFL history to record 600 receptions. He did it in 125 games, faster than Tony Gonzalez (134), Shannon Sharpe (155) and Ozzie Newsome (160).
"It's humbling to see the guys on that list," Witten said. "It's a terrific accomplishment, but I have a lot of great people around me. Hopefully, there is more to come."
Witten finished the day with 10 catches for 140 yards, both game highs. His TD reception was his seventh of the season, tying a career record set in 2007."
