"Titans quarterback Kerry Collins had an uncertain future with the franchise even before Thursday's news that Coach Jeff Fisher wouldn't be back next season.
On Friday, the 16-year veteran said he still plans to play in 2011, but knows his fate now rests in the hands of the coach who replaces Fisher.
"It depends on who they hire. To hire someone from outside the organization, a lot of times you bring in new people they have their favorites and they have people they want to have around and people they want to part ways with,'' Collins said. "I think at this point it is a waiting game for myself and a lot of guys.
"I think we all appreciate the organization as a whole, but obviously Jeff being the head coach it is a huge part for the players. The thing to do is to wait and see how it all shakes out. As far as myself, I'll see who they hire and that will determine whether my future is here or somewhere else.'"
