"It has been 20 days, 12 games and countless light practices since the Indiana Pacers have had more than a day between games.
That is about to change.
The Pacers will have more than a day in between games for the first time since before the start of the regular season.
The Pacers, who faced the Boston Celtics on Saturday night at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, don't play again until Wednesday, when they start a three-game West Coast trip at Sacramento.
Pacers coach Frank Vogel planned to give his team today off. They'll have a "training camp" practice Monday and a regular practice Tuesday.
Vogel wants to use the extra practice time to fine-tune the defense and continue to work on offensive continuity. He has avoided scheduling intense practices because he didn't want to overwork his players during a condensed 66-game season schedule.
"It's not going to be a three-hour practice or anything like that, but we want to take advantage of the ability to have live action to work on things," Vogel said."
