The Eagles on Tuesday signed offensive tackle Tanner Hawkinson to their 53-man roster off the 49ers’ practice squad and released interior lineman Julian Vandervelde ... again.

This is the eighth time the Eagles have released Vandervelde and ends his third stint this year with the team. He was also released twice by the Buccaneers, so he’s now been cut 10 times from his two NFL teams.

Hawkinson, a fifth-round pick of the Bengals in 2013, is a 6-foot-5, 300-pound tackle out of Kansas. He’s played in four games in his career, all for the Bengals — one in 2013 and three last year.

He was released by the Bengals as part of their final cutdown to 53 on Sept. 5 and had been on the 49ers’ practice squad since Sept. 7.
