"Adam "Pacman" Jones was arrested six times and involved in as many as a dozen incidents that involved the police in a three-year span after the Tennessee Titans made the talented cornerback a first-round draft pick in 2005.

But that's a headache Titans coach Jeff Fisher hasn't had to deal with since Tennessee traded Jones to Dallas in April 2008. Two years later, the Lions and coach Jim Schwartz, who was Fisher's defensive coordinator in Tennessee during Jones' stay, are investigating the possibility of signing Jones as a free agent.

Sheldon White, the Lions' vice president of player personnel, attended a workout Jones held last week in New Orleans. And Schwartz said Sunday the team was "still in the information gathering stage, at this point," while cautioning that any move to sign Jones wouldn't be a "football-only decision.""
