West Ham ‘would love to have Scott Parker back if there is room on the wage bill’, admits co-owner David Sullivan.
But despite signing Andy Carroll, another striker is the priority, he exlpained, in a Q&A session on his son’s Twitter account.

‘We need goalscorers not defenders,’ he tweeted when questioned about defensive targets, before responding to the possibility of signing the Spurs midfielder.

He wrote: ‘We have to focus wages on strikers.’
When asked if there were other targets, Sullivan reiterated his stance by replying: ‘We are happy with the rest of the team all we need now is pace and goals.’
