The New England slot receiver, all 5-foot-9 and 185 pounds of quickness, craftiness and deceptive speed, continued his prolific start to the season Sunday at the Coliseum against the Raiders in the Patriots' 31-19 victory.

Welker caught nine passes from Tom Brady for 158 yards and a 15-yard touchdown. He dented the Raiders' secondary on catches of 24, 21, 32 and 28 yards. For the season, Welker has 40 receptions for 616 yards and five touchdowns. The yardage total is the highest in the first four games of a season in NFL history."
