Manager Ron Roenicke just told us that second baseman Rickie Weeks might be activated during this weekend's series against Philadelphia.
But there is a caveat.
Initially, Roenicke said Weeks won't play second base every day. He has been out since suffering a severely sprained left ankle on July 27 and the Brewers want to ease him back into action gradually. Roenicke said it could start with pinch-hitting appearances, then short stints in the field.
"We've been talking about it," said Roenicke. "It could be coming up, whether it's the first couple of games at home."
