Kyle Tresnak scored 27 points and Davion Berry added 19 Saturday night to lead Weber State to a 88-67 victory over North Dakota in the championship game of the Big Sky Conference tournament.

The top-seeded Wildcats secured their first berth in the NCAA tournament since 2007 with their third win of the season over second-seeded UND.

Weber State, 19-11, made its first six shots, including four straight three-pointers, and raced to an early 18-6 lead.

North Dakota closed within seven, 41-34, on a free throw by Chad Calcaterra with nine seconds left in the half, but Berry’s 25-foot three-point shot at the buzzer pushed Weber State’s lead back to 10.

The Wildcats made 14 of 24 shots in the first half, including 7-for-13 from the three-point line.
