Weaver Won't Start, Who Will?

"With Wednesday being the last scheduled day of the regular season, there's no sense in wasting words. We all know that the Braves and Cardinals and Red Sox and Rays are tied for the final playoff spots in each league, but what fantasy owners need to know above all else is who's playing, who's not playing and who's uncertain for Wednesday's season finale:

NOT EXPECTED TO PLAY:

With the Angels eliminated, Jered Weaver has been scratched from his final regular season start. Garrett Richards will take the mound instead … Also not making his scheduled Wednesday start: Matt Cain, as the Giants plan to give Eric Surkamp another oppportunity … Matt Holliday was pulled from Tuesday's game after aggravating his finger injury, meaning that he won't start Wednesday and could be in doubt for the postseason if the Cardinals make it … Also not expected to play Wednesday: Asdrubal Cabrera (elbow), Yunel Escobar (elbow), Jason Kubel (foot), Rafael Furcal (hamstring), Alex Gonzalez (calf) and Cliff Pennington (oblique).

MAYBE PLAYING, MAYBE NOT:

In his return to the lineup after being hit in the helmet, Justin Upton was hit in the face by a fly ball in the 10th inning, leaving his status for Wednesday in question … Casey Kotchman (tightness in chest) was released from the hospital after tests and has a chance to be back in the lineup Wednesday … Other players who are iffy for the season finale: Howie Kendrick (wrist), Ryan Zimmerman (hamstring), Edwin Encarnacion (shoulder), Nyjer Morgan (bruised shin), Jesus Guzman (neck), J.D. Martinez (ankle), Jason Bay (illness) and Mark Melancon (birth of daughter)."
