Warriors point guard Stephen Curry downplayed his most recent ankle tweak and said he'd be fine by the team's regular-season opener against the Suns in Phoenix on Oct. 31.

Curry rolled the ankle in the second quarter of the Warriors' 101-97 preseason victory over the Portland Trail Blazers at the Rose Garden and didn't return. He sustained the injury when Wes Matthews collided with him from behind.

"It's well-known I've had some sprains the last couple of years, a couple of surgeries," Curry told Fox Sports Radio on Saturday. "But last night was just a weird, freak play in the preseason. I got rolled on by one of the Portland players. It won't set me back too bad. I'll be ready to go opening night."
