"Charlotte Bobcats forward Gerald Wallace is quickly on the mend from a scary left-elbow injury.

Wallace bruised his elbow sufficiently Saturday that he couldn't take two free throws near the end of a 104-101 road loss to the Milwaukee Bucks. But Wallace felt well enough to practice free throws Monday, and might play Wednesday in New Orleans.

"Most definitely,'' Wallace said. "It isn't as bad as it looked.''"
