Jarnell Stokes scored 26 points and had 14 rebounds to lead Tennessee past UMass 86-67 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Vols (23-12) will play Sunday against Mercer, which upset Duke earlier Friday, for a place in the Sweet 16.

Mercer beat the Vols in the NIT last year.

Jordan McRae added 21 points for the No. 11 seed Vols, who are making their first NCAA appearance since 2011 and the first under coach Cuonzo Martin.

Maxie Esho and Chaz Williams scored 12 points each for No. 6 seed UMass (24-9).
