Vinny Prospal has been in the NHL for 15 years, but he admitted Wednesday that he is "very nervous" about the thought of playing in his 950th career game.

Thursday night's match against the Devils will mark the veteran forward's first appearance this season after missing the first 53 games following preseason knee surgery.

"I've been nervous the last couple of days," Prospal said as he unstrapped the brace on his right knee after practice in Greenburgh. "I knew I was close. We had an understanding that I needed to make more practice time with the team, but this was the game we were looking into prior to the All-Star break.
